Hello Guys-
This site is truly a blessing. I recently upgraded from a Canon SX110 IS point and shoot which I didn't use to its full capacity to a Canon Rebel T4i DSLR. I'm finally taking my passion for photography seriously and hope to learn and experience a lot with my new camera.
I also have a Canon EOS 10s 35mm w a 35-105 USM zoom lens which I purchased back in1992. It's in pristine condition, I don't believe I shot ten rolls of film with this camera. How can I benefit from it? Should I keep it, sell it? Is their any value in it for me.
Keep it - old film cameras are very cheap. Who knows a sun flare might put all digital devices out of order. Or find someone who collects film cameras and give to them. And welcome to the UHH and the wonderful world of photography (some might say wonderful world of crazies but that is another story).

You might get $65 on eBay for this model. If you have newer EF lenses, you'll be amazed these will work with the old 35mm body and the results will (tend to) be much improved over the older 90s lenses. I'm not sure of the search text, but there's been some UHH discussion of where to get film and film developing. I use B&H for film supplies and Darkroom for developing.

Portfolyo,
I have the T4i and I love it. I also have a 35 MM canon elan.
I saw a show once where the photographer would use a digital camera to see how the photo would look, then took the shot with film. So, who knows maybe he is dong it the right way. Who are we to say only go digital.
I think a lot of us here use photography as an art, not just to take photos for memorabilia. So, enjoy both cameras and show us the photos!

Congrats! Check around and see if the zoom will work on your T4i. If so, it would be nice quality glass.
