Love them or hate them, now they're being used by professionals with amazing results.

The new Samsung Galaxy S4 has a 13 MP camera. It has features like eraser, lets you erase anything that you don't want in the photo, takes red eye out, auto focus etc. It sounds more like a camera than a smart phone to me.

Proof once again that it's not the pan, it's the cook.

The iPhones have always been a step up in quality. When you see the picture, your first thought shouldn't what camera but what purpose. It's the result that counts. Camera snobbery is for the amateur.

There is just about any filter and or accessory you could want for the iPhone.

There are also an awful lot of processing apps available for the iPhone and iPad, but I've never used any.

I have an LG Optimus L9 that uses the Android operating system and they have an extensive list of apps also. I've only tried one or two of them and they were good for simple editing. Next thing you know, Adobe will have a Photoshop version for smartphones.

They do. Some free, and some not.

If you think smartphones and social media are for lesser photographers you have already missed the boat.

Goofy, don't burst my bubble. Saw a new pan on TV the other night. Promises to be 1000% non-stick. Was thinking of getting it.
Also my photography has been in a real rut lately. Was thinking of a better camera. Photography and cooking have different rules, don't they?

PS, it's almost ToC time. Paris-Roubaix was awesome!!

You know, many people specialize in taking pictures of food cooking. If you declare yourself a "professional," you can take the cost of that pan as a tax deduction.
