I'm sooo excited! We went to Peace Valley Park and finally got some decent bird pictures! I took soooo many...gonna take me awhile to decide which are worth showing, but here's a starter.

Great shot Sailorsmom, is this in your yard or at a park? I know Erv talks about and uses a blind and it would be a good idea to get closer and less movement for the critters to see. Let me know if you would please nad include a picture if you have one.

By the way, the little finch with the eye disease is a House Finch, and there seems to be an epidemic of some kind of eye disease in that species.

It's a big bird blind in Peace Valley Park. There were 5 of us sitting in it. What a fun way to spend a day!
Thank you Mare! I had a ball! Met some folks from New Zealand and showed them some of the "ins and outs" of the park. A really fun day!

Thank you Tom! It sure was fun! Got some pointers from a man with a BIG zoom lens or telephoto lens,and met people from New Zealand who also gave some pointers to me.
