I check Amazon reviews, but I have found that Adorama and B and H photographic have better prices.
Doing "Live Chat" online or calling the toll free number to talk with the B&H staff is invaluable as well. B&H is the real deal in more ways than one.
I have bought & sold on eBay around 200 times. I have only had one problem. That was with a person that didn't pay. Of course I didn't ship the item. I just sold it to someone else.
I just bought a new Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4.0-5.6 IS lens on Amazon for $134.00 + $3.67 shipping. Looked at it a few hours later & it was up to $200.
I have bought a lot of other things on Amazon without any problems.

Thanks. I'll keep that in mind.
I love this site, real good info and I've learned a lot in a short time..thanks!
I second (er ah . . . third fourth and fifth and so on), the motion for Amazon. I bought 2 aftermarket batteries for my t2i for $8 and change. Although, there is the matter of these particular ones showing "full battery" and not being full, that's the only glitch. They do indeed fully charge, but knowing when they're about to crap out is the clincher. I just carry 2 so I know I have the power. Also, I can shoot 500 photos and not be concerned of losing battery power. I don't shoot as much as some, but they work great for me.
Speaking of batteries, the only "problem" I've experienced was ordering the battery for my Minolta. Bought it through Amazon from one of the above mentioned companies. I don't mention the name because they are one of the biggest photographic stores, I still do business with them, and I love the store ! The battery was packaged in a very flimsy plastic mailer, when I got it there was a slice through the bag, UPS or USPS box cutter, that sliced right through the battery and damaged it. An e-mail to Amazon said to call the company. I e-mailed the company, they apologized, and said they would alert their shipping department...no offer to replace ! Anyways, it was only a $6.00 battery...the shipping back and forth would be more than that ! The lesson ? Go get it at Walmart for $2.00 more or put a bigger order together from them so the battery is better protected !
Just ordered replacement battery online at Best Buy...Amazon was 27.95 + ship, 17.95 + free ship at Best Buy now.
Best Buy is having an online sale on the Lenmar Lithium Ion battery for Canon T3i, 2 year warranty, normally 29.95 + ship of 9.95, now for 17.95 and free shipping!
Thank You to everyone for all the positive reviews. That's why this site is so great. I've never really ordered much on-line so I was a bit skeptical when it came to more expensive items. I'm more of a "hands on" kind of person who likes to go to a store and actually see and play with the items before purchasing.
Once again thanks to everyone for their help. Time to make a Wish List on Amazon! ;)
If you are worried about aftermarket vs. OEM and want to by cheaper, try B&H's used online department or KEH.
I have bought from Amazon, B&H, and Adorama online and have always been pleased. I just ordered a NIKON P7100 as a present and got a great price, free second day shipping and no sales tax. What's better than that !! Of course the State of Rhode Island thinks that I should fill out forms and mail them a check for 7% !!! Ha.............

B&H does not sell on Amazon.

Thank you. Very gratifying.

I'm thinking of ordering some accessories from Amazon for my Canon T2i. Has anyone had experience with them? Are the aftermarket products they sell worth it, and do they work with the cameras they say they do? Should I just stick with the "OEM" products? Any info helps. Thank You!
I think Amazon is the safest place to buy from.
Over the years I have bought so many different items through Amazon and they have never disappointed me.
I just got a Walking Cane from wood and Scott Kelby Photoshop Element 9 book. The prices are good and no sales tax and no shipping cost also.
