Your profile photo (image #3) shows the physical depth of the spiders eyes within the head, which are more cone-shaped than globe-shaped.

It is an old 28-mm lens from a Minolta film SLR. I put it backwards on to the camera using a mounting ring designed for that purpose, and it becomes a high magnification macro lens. It will only focus a couple of inches in front of the camera but the results can be stunning. A macro lens by itself could not capture these high mag images.
