New to Ugly Hedgehog, but have been shooting for years. One of my favorite things to shoot are flowers. Here are a couple. I shoot with a D200 and a D700.

Rufhar, I really like your artistic approach to these flower photos. That's what I'm aiming to start doing with my flower photos, but have some ways to go before I'm up to your skill level. Arnold
Thanks. I like flowers well enough that I think it's hard to get bad pictures of them. So I don't think it's so much skill as just shooting and working with what the flowers give you.
Nice shots. What type of lens did you use?

I certainly think you suceeded in find an artistic apporach to shooting these flowers. I thought they were all beautiful. This is in response to Arnold.
Wow! Beautiful flower photos! The white rose is so soft and lovely and is my favorite of the two. Good job! I, too, am a flower lover and shoot them constantly during the short growing season here in Michigan... will post a few to share soon. Welcome to the site!
The nice thing about flowers is that the subject is endless.
Your first photo is beautiful. Very subtle. I find myself photographing flowers frequently (they can't run away).
Thanks. Can't wait until spring.
