I have way more experience with film photography, I majored in Photography in the mid 90's at ASU. I mainly shoot Off-Road racing in Baja Mexico, Arizona, Nevada & California. I do shoot some indoor racing such as 1600 buggy & Protruck. Being from film I am completely clueless when it comes to digital. I have a nikon d3200, nikon d2xs, Tamron f2.8 17 50, sigma 2.8 70-200, nikon kit lenses that came with the d3200. I need the most help with harsh desert lighting or lack there-of, of race trucks driving 120MPH! I only have 1 shot at my subject! Thats after waiting approximately 13 hours in the middle of the desert. Then the race truck might not even make it to my location.

Rewarder, welcome to the hog. The transition from film to digital can in some instances be very traumatic, but we all go through it when we change over. Welcome to the club. You are among friends here. So, ask questions, post some images....

Thank you soo much for the kind words. I had a Nikon FM2 since I was a kid in the 70's then when I felt digital was actually worth investing in I dove in, now I am completely lost to be honest with you. It seems like everybody knows what they are talking about and I'm left in the dust. Kind of like switching from a typewriter to a computer. Don't tell anyone but I'm slightly color blind. So that's why film B&W with my own darkroom was ideal. I do have sample images of Off-Road race photography that id like to show you guys (that were taken by someone else so I'm not sure I can post them here without their permission) I am going to Rocky Point Mexico at the end of the month to shoot. Should I start a thread in the forums? Hunter
