Favorite Walk Around Shoes.
Mephisto makes excellent comfortable shoes.
If Mephisto re-soles em they fit as new because they use the original last's for the re-soling process .....

I love my Saucony powergrid triumph 10 shoes. I can walk, run anything & they feel great. At my age taking care of my feet takes care of the rest of me. I like primes too & I like to zoom with my feet. Bab

Depends where I am, but I have had a pair of Sauconys
since 07. They were immensely comfortable when I tried
them on in the shop. They're still in one piece even though there is a hole in the mesh uppers. They're as comfortable now as when I first put them on 6 years ago.
Rockport waterproof shoes for me

I have three lens. I like to challenge myself and just take one lens to do walk around photography. That means I need the right shoes to get the best angle/composition. What is your favorite walk around shoe?
Merrill seem to work well for me. Low hikers and a pair of slip-ons. I, too, am now starting to practice this way. Take one lens and either step closer or step away. Good exercise also.
Absolutely USA made SAS shoes for unbelievable comfort with their 'Selfset' foot bed. This insert conforms to your personal footprint for a perfect fit. I have only had them for a year, so I can't comment on their longevity. Easily my best shoes yet. Try them! ( This is not a commercial ).

Go to a reputable store. Try on everything you think will work for your needs, then buy the pair that is most comfortable the first time you put them on. No one brand or style works for everyone. I use different shoes for hiking in the mountains, hiking on gravel roads or sidewalks and if the weather presents wet or snowy conditions.
Shoe shopping?? This is the one thing that my ex-wife would have allowed.

first i have heard of this regarding john merrill. very surprised if true.
also merrell shoes have nothing to do with him.
Thank you....not related! Merrills are the ultimate walking shoe...lightweight, built and engineered for hours of walking...someone else also mentioned Saucony...another great sneaker and I have hiked in them...but Merrill has great "hiking" type sandals, as well, for warmer weather...love them.
HAHA...just found out it's not Merrill, but Merrell...so no relation to the fellow, John Merrill...again...great shoe. For women, they are scientifically designed differently than men's shoes because of the way we carry our weight differently...just an added thought...I could walk in them forever.
