A look inside colorful Tulips at High Noon (10)

Its been quite windy the past few days, and I hesitated to go out to take pics of the tulips growing in the yard. Around noon, today, it seemed like the wind died down enough so I went out and shot these pics. I had to be patient when the breezes blew and waited for the flowers to either stop moving or slow down. Most of the shots were taken at 1/1000" and above.

I shot these HH using a Canon EOS 50D w/EF 17-85mm lens; Av f5.6; ISO 200. Exif intact. PP w/PSE8.

Enjoy them. Comments welcome.

Thank you, CJ. Glad you like them. I think you posted before I finished all the pics. Go back and look when you have time. Maybe you'll see a fav. Thanks for looking. -- Gene

How about 9, love the color red. I'll take the bunch at the end for my vase.

I think they are all very good, Gene, but I really like the last one where they are unopened. It is a really awesome composition and there is a sense of anticipation that makes it really work for me. Thanks for the post, I love looking at your work.

 I wanted to cut them and bring them to the house and put them in a vase. My wife said "Oh, no! Not yet." Thanks for your picks and coming back to see all of them.

I'll be keeping an eye on those in the last pic, watching to see when they begin to open. I want to shoot them before they are in full bloom. Glad you like these as well as all my work, and thanks for looking.

I like your black background. Was this a black board, or did you do some PP?
