Thanks Dale !! It is an Island that has mostly US Military and British Military and a few civilians like myself running around .
I haven't seen much of it yet but I hear it has changed a lot in 25 years . It is of course a small island in the middle of the Indian Ocean so it shouldn't take long to see it all . I just happen to be working long hours right now .

Nice shots...my kind of place. I love the tropics and have spent time in Asia ,Africa,Australia,Central and South America and never get tired of seeing palm trees. Fiji is my favorite place of all.

Sure beats the cold weather . Last I counted I had been to 42 or more countries . Some you listed but not all . Singapore was the closest I got to a couple of them .

As a civilian ...in what capacity do you work there ...if it is not secret ? I come from a military family-European as well as from the USA .Nephew is a graduate of West Point and I also am a Vietnam veteran. I am originally from Estonia and escaped the Russians and Nazi Germans and came to the USA as a refugee. Am also a former Cousteau diver and retired teacher. Have taken photos from all over the world since my family was scattered in many places.Everyone now has passed on which only leaves me and a sister. Good luck in life and of course photography which records it .

I hope you create a large coffeetable photobook of all these amazing shots of your travels. It will make fascinating reading/viewing. One day you'll look back at these and they'll evoke all sorts of nostalgia. I'm enjoying your photos - they really take me there!

My brother just left Diego Garcia (Navy Commander) after a 1 yr. assignment. I saw him last weekend (1st time in 3 years)..he had his dress uniform on and really looked sharp. Thanks for the pics, now I don't feel as sorry for him since he apparently was in paradise!

I love the composition of the palm trees and beach. Isn't the color of the water such a pretty, clear blue.Your paradise and ours.LOL

Here is a couple I took today down here .

Thanks Suzip . I'm having fun taking them and I'm glad the travels allow me to take them . One day I'm going to make a photo album of the ones I really like out of the bunch.
