Rumors floating about LR5. Is Beta actually out there, and if so when will final be released. As an aside, anything on CS7?

I was going to ask the question, I got an email from Adobe Systems Inc. Monday asking if I would like to be a part of a limited, experianced group of Lightroom users to use Lightroom 5 Beta, with a download to get it. The funny thing is I barely know how to use number 4. So has anyone else gotten this email from Adobe ?

My guess is the mailing went to the entire registered owners list. ;)

Yes...it's a public beta...anyone can download it.

I use Lightroom 3 and did not upgrade to 4. Waiting for 5 as my practice has been to upgrade every other version. Did not receive an "invite".

I was able to watch some of Jared Platt's broadcast on Creativelive the last few days. LR5 has some killer improvements in speed and numerous major advancements. I bought the course as I missed so much as I was working under a tight deadline. I will upgrade within a month after the actual product release. I may avoid the first release hiccup like on 4. Hard to wait.

Offered and Used the Beta version first Tim yesterday, and I love it, have not worked out posting process yet, Installing was difficult, Computer Scientist husband did it for me. Amazing 5, what it did with a regular macro flower.

I received the invitation and downloaded the beta 5. Luckily, on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, I tuned in to the CreativeLive Jared Platt presentation on Lightroom and, because #5 was released during the webinar, Jared showed all the new stuff in this beta release. The webinar was absolutely wonderful - it covered every aspect of LR. If you want to learn everything there is to know about LR, you can buy the videos from creativelive.com. I highly recommend it.
