I am sorry for the victims, whose tragedy and sorrow get overlooked or exploited in the rush of media. And I am sorry for the citizens of the United States, whose liberty will shrink a little more after this horror.

All those involved, particularly the bereaved, have my condolences and sympathy. I would like to think that I speak for all UK members (all members?) of UHH when I say that I wish all those injured a very speedy recovery and those who have been bereaved comfort at this very difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

The perpetrators of this event do nothing to further their cause but merely harden the resolve of those who oppose their views to see that they are brought to justice swiftly and to the full extent of the law.

I agree. When they catch them they should tie a bomb to their Ass drop a cell phone in the top pocket and call several numbers except the one that sets it off. Make them freak everytime the phone rings and then call the right number.

I'm glad to find someone else who thinks like me. Of course that would be considered cruel and unusual punishment and the ACLU would get their panties in a wad.

The only thing the bombers achieve is to bring about universal contempt and disgust of them, what they believe in and their way of life. My thoughts go to those who have suffered and their families.

Well said - the community and unified political response to 9/11 was a clear testament to this.
Whoever is responsible are no better than scum-sucking pondlife.
Our thoughts are with you at this awful time.

Everyone in the free world grieves for dead and injured in yesterday's attack on innocent people. May we unite and find those responsible and bring them to justice.

Let them get the wad going. As far as I am concerned when the a hole set the bomb off he gave up all rights. I know most will get in a hissy over that statement but it is my opinion.

It takes a real coward to hurt innocent people like this. An extreme "Piece of Sh*t."

I agree whole-heartedly.However,and I'm not that good with words,so I hope this goes over well and is not misconstrued.Yes this was a terrible thing, but you know what? It happens everyday somewhere in the world. Our soldiers come home shattered both physically and emotionally, and for a lot of them, they are cast aside because we don't want to deal with them or the fact that we are at war over most of the globe.
What has shocked our conscience is the fact that it is no longer a world away where we don't have to deal with it,but it has come home to roost,so to speak.
Am I trying to advocate something here? Not really, just giving y'all something to think about.

I understand soldiers being in places of bombs, as sad as it may be, but when civilians, those who have no inkling of why they are chosen to be the sacrificial lambs for the intentions of the deranged, it is much more shocking. This is not just here in the US but why do those in the eastern countries , as a civilian population, allow it. Some one knows information before hand and yet these events still occur.
For example in Afganistan and the sucidal bombers, they have to say bye to thier families one way or another before they depart on the last leg of the event. Why don't the families say something?

For example they have to cleanse themselves before they do it, and there are other indication, yet these events still occur.

There are ways to stop this, but they are not used. As an example, if you know a religion does not like pigs, if the bomber parts are found afterward (found through DNA Analysis), feed them to pigs. They can't get into thier heaven because of this, and therefore their glorified reason for doing it, is nullified. Also if captured and tried and executed, feed them to the pigs. Make a big production of this. Even if they lie about it, it would stop these sucidal bombers in their tracks.

If they want to use phycological war fare on us , use it on them.

If it was home grown, like a McVeigh, then maybe it will be a wake-up call for more aid for mentally ill, and get these people off the streets before they do harm, not afterwards.
And the hell with ACLU. They may have some legitimate beefs, but sometimes good intentions go astray. They are the ones who help close the brick and mortor mental institutions that use to get these people off the streets. This is one reason for the fairly recent sick behavioral actions done by these people.

My sympathy to the family's and Friends and the people in Boston and the United States and the world for this tragic lose of innocent lives lost and people hurt for no reason at all. Something I just can't understand.
May we all be blessed with love and compassion so that we can pray for all involved to be healed. May who ever is involved in the cause of this, come forward for justice. May we all have the courage to forgive so all may heal from this. When we forgive we all heal faster and with deeper meaning.

My prayers and thoughts go to the people and famlies in the marathon.
When the person or persons are caught, many thousands of tax dollars of the people injured and affected by this act will go to pay to protect the accused and also pay for their lawyers and appeals etc.
