Hey folks, I am interested in buying equipment for digiscoping wildlife, mostly birds. I was wondering if anyone could give me any advice on brands, either to use or to stay away from. My camera is a Canon T2i. This is my first foray into digiscoping so any advice would be helpful.

I always though a digiscope was the camera they shoved down your throat during an endoscopy

I agree with mborn, http://eagleoptics.com website is surely the best source. It has a LOT of articles and videos (around 30 total!) on digiscoping: equipment choices, how-to, etc. And the staff will recommend which setups for your particular camera/scope combo are best. On their main homepage, click on the "Education" tab, then click the "Digiscoping" button.

I have the same camera that I use for digiscoping, along with a Celestron Regal 100mm. F-ED spotting scope & a Baader Planetarium Clickstop Microstage 11 digital camera adapter. Visit this site for examples of some digiscoped photos.

Have a chat with member Rob1215. He shared some impressive pictures on a thread of mine; using his digiscope setup. Here's the thread so you can see his pictures.

Hope that puts you in the right direction. Cheers
