I live in Mesa near the Salt River. Just wondering exactly where you got those terrific photos? I caught some horses in the Mexican Poppies on Bush Highway about a mile in from the Beeline.

Your in the right general area. They show up at Water Users park, Blue Point Bridge area, Coon Bluff and Phon D Sutton. When and where are the magic questions. Most of the horses I have photographed in the last several sessions have been about 4:00 PM and later. I know seveal folks that are out and about from sunrise to 10:00 AM or so. Keep trying ! Thanks

Were you tubing the Salt when you saw them?

No just out walking along the river. As soon as they increase the flow to the river, I will be out in my kayak though. If you are on Facebook, do a search for "Salt River Wild Horses" you'll see hundreds of photos of the horses.
