Never Give Up

I took this picture from another bridge in Austin. I take my dog down to the Town Lake area for walks when I can, and noticed they put a new message on the train bridge. Occasionally they (don't know who) change the message. The picture was taken with a D7000 that my very generous brother gave me. When I saw that the top of the building was cut off on the left I was being critical with myself, but the more I look at it I almost like the idea of it being cut-off. Who knows what "composition experts" would say. Anyway, having fun taking pictures and learning. Just registered and thought I would share the photo. Any feedback will be appreciated. Thanks

Judging your age by your photo (with the camera)....you are not only the youngest photographer I've ever seen, but I would say that your writing is way above average for your age also! Lol! I like your composition, but think it might work with sky showing above the tallest building. If you did have sky above the tallest building....I think maybe I would also show slightly
more foreground to balance the extra space at the top out?
A vertical shot might be fun to play around with also ...emphasizing the buildings height and cut the sides in a little. Isn't photography fun? The more you do the more ideas you have...it never ends!
I do like it the way it is though! :)

Very nicely captured! It is amazing what efforts some people will put forth to "deface" and spread graffitti around! But, it is interesting to view and this makes for a great shot.

The Avatar is pic of my son Dutch from Christmas. He has a twin sister Zoie, but she prefers to draw. They are turning two at the end of the month. There's lot of interest in photography with the family, now my 12 year old dog Max is in the game too. Thanks for the fun comments. Attaching a few pictures of the crew.

What adorable children! Mine are grown, but have a couple of old, photos
(slides) that were prophetic about showing where their interests and abilities would lead them. You just might have a budding photographer and an architect to finish raising! Enjoy every second!.....the growing up part happens in a blink of an eye!

freeseframe: I like the picture just the way it is. We have people here that do this type of painting as well. I wonder how and why they risk live and limb to do this, but it sure is fun to see. Keep those pictures coming. Nice looking family you have there.

Steve
