Nik Software Update

I use several Nik Programs and am happy with their performance. Recently, Google acquired Nik and seems to be changing Nik operations.
Today, I received an email from NIK Google stating, "To be sure you have the latest version of the Nik plug-ins, click the link below to download the Nik Collection. Your download will begin automatically."
I called them and they said that my programs had updates available...and this would update each and everyone of them. A universial update for all (no selection on my part).
My belief in the old saying, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" is very strong.
My question is, have any of you received an email from Nik offering you the universial update, and if so, did you do it? and where there any problems?
I am interested in having the latest upgrades...but worried about updating them all ( the existing versions would be delated from my computer...so no going back!

I received them and no problem with updates, if you need it you get it otherwise there is no update downloaded.

Not only had I no problems, but they also sent me an extra one that I had never purchased, free!

They did the same for me...I am extremely happy with the new NIK! Which is what they are trying to do - mend customer fences. Nik was a pain in the a-- to deal with and expensive.

I have no problem updating a single program, I guess it was the Global / all programs at one time that made me so cautious.

I bought NIK Color Effects Pro 4 about a month ago for about $180.00. When I went to buy another NIK product I saw that Pro and 4 more were selling for $139 for the entire collection. I emailed them and asked why I paid so much for one. They apologized saying they were selling separately at the time and sent me a free download of the entire collection. Great, reputable company.

Great offer, they are giving the entire collection to anyone who has bought one of the previous modules. I upgrades and all work fine. So update and enjoy

Guess I am the only one with problems in the new download. Every plugin applies the changes twice. Hopefully a simple fix when I get the time to call there tech support. They have always been most helpful in the past.

I had the same reaction - is this real? Absolutely. The collection of plugins that work well.
Of course, as with any acquisition, I wonder if there is another shoe to drop. Perhaps an upgrade that will have a hefty price tag that you won;t want to pass up because the plugins are used so frequently now

Folks, I listened to your sage advice and your experiences with this Nik software update and, as usual, it was excellent! I did the update and am so glad that I did. Not only did my three programs updated...but I also got all of the other programs in the collection at no cost..what a great deal!

Yes I did it and received all updates without any problems. I have been a user of Nik products for years and cannot emphasis enough the usefulness of their products.

I originally purchased the NIK Complete Collection for Lightroom only and was happy to see the free upgrade offer for the full version. I do, however, wonder what the future plans for the NIK suite might be now that Google owns them.
