The newest permanent resident of the Ojai Raptor Center...she is unreleasable due to wing injury..found on a sidewalk and brought to the center for help..they will lovingly care for her the rest of her life..
A Northern Pygmy Owl..all of 7 inches tip-tale and weighs about 2 pounds..I just wanted to take her home with me..
In the wild she is a secretive and daytime fierce little hunter of rodents, reptiles and insects...
You can see it in her eyes..one little owl with a big atitude..

Yes we must learn from them. I tell my kids to learn from thiers and to also learn from others mistakes so they dont have to make them.

Wonderful little bird. Love the pics. It is nice to see that she will be able to live out her life no matter where it is.

Her handler said she is rarely seen in the wild..very secretive..a fierce, little daytime hunter that takes down rodents, insects, lizards...
