Well, to start it's not a bad shot at all.
One thing is this: it looks like you've cleaned up his eyes a bit...and the whites are WHITE...nobody has whites with NO veins...back that off a bit.
The main thing though is that you missed focus. You nailed the focus on the swing/chain but his eyes/face are blurry....not good.
In a portrait the main thing is that they eyes are tack sharp...they ARE what we look to to connect with people and it doesn't look right when they are blurry.
As was said...the shirt is slightly hot in my opinion...a bit too much saturation.
