Well at least hunting season never closes and there is no limit when shooting game with a camera.
Lets see last Thursday - 2 Canadian geese and one Tom wild turkey

That is a nice rack on the first deer. I guess these are mule deer.

Is the yellow canine a coyote? It is more yellow than the ones around here.

That snake is some kind of pit viper, a rattle snake. Do you know which species?

I am always trying to increase my knowledge.

These are California Black Tail Deer - little smaller than mule deer - these particular ones are quite well fed and protected as they live in a very forested area but with too many homes to allow safe hunting in CA.
This is one of two coyotes that I saw on this hillside yes they are the lightest/blond I have ever seen.

That is a rattle snake - a very young one - I came out of a meeting at our church one evening and it was on the front steps - our church has a very rural setting. The deer in the top photo were next to the church parking lot.

Gotta watch out for the young rattlers cause they are more dangerous. Last year in Phoenix at the National Cemetery, we held a service to bury my aunt. The ceremony was delayed because one of the local young rattlers decided to pay his respects and curl up next to the coffin. The staff at the cemetery was used to it because they came over and removed him post haste, releasing him about a mile away.

Aren't I the savvy shopper? LOL I don't usually brag about saving a buck or two, but I am as pleased as punch with myself right now. I needed a camera bag to carry and protect all my camera gear, so I went to Walmart to check them out. Up until recently, I only had one lens, so the camera just went along on a strap. But even at Walmart's so called low prices, a camera bag, big enough to hold a DSLR, an extra lens and a few extra gadgets and gear, was in the 60-70 dollar range. Which in the scheme of things, isn't allot to protect over a thousand dollars worth of camera, but I just don't have that kind of money right now, however I found the solution. In the sporting goods section, I picked up a shooters bag for under 20 bucks, that has padded pockets inside for extra scopes, pistols etc. and a hard plastic bottom for protection. Then for just a few bucks, I picked up some foam padding (made for seat cushions) from the sewing and material section. Now I can cut the foam to my specific needs. So, not only do I have a bigger and better camera bag, it's custom made to suit my needs, it has more protection than the camera bags on the market, AND I got it for a fraction of the cost of a designer bag :-) You go me! lol

You're location says Georgia but you have to have some Yankee blood in there some where. Now don't take offense - it's intended to be a compliment.
Good going, a man after my own ways.

I just picked up a hunter's vest at Canadian Tire for $15. It had been reduced from $49.99 to 29.99 and then to $15. It has many pockets with closures to keep things organized. It works just as well for a card wallet as it would for a cartridge wallet. It holds my extra batteries and flashlights just as well as if I was using the for hunting. There is even a place to store my lunch!
:-D

But just a little conspicuous at that wedding your going to shoot in day glow!
LOL

I don't do weddings. I can't take the stress. If I am invited to a wedding, I shoot candid shots and give copies to the newlyweds.
