Is that the visitor center about halfway around the loop? How in the world did you get the picture without people in it? I am there a few times a year and almost always find people there. Maybe in the dead of Winter there aren't many!
Oh, P.S. By the way, Cades Cove is on the Tennessee side of the park.
Was there recently. You had a great shot. This is one that I took at Cades Cove!
Love the photo of the deer. I understand the elk were out in force this year.
And you are right about people in the shot, that always is an issue. Sometimes you just have to wait, sometimes you have to crop them out. or wait til they are on the other side of the cabin etc. I got lucky. I had forgotten that it was on the Tenn side. I have a cabin 14 miles North of Gatlinburg and went over for a day this year and a mistake it was totally bumper to bumper
UM! Cades Cove is in Tenn.
Taken on our last visit to The Smokies a couple of years ago.
Love the mountains and how they have that blue hue to them and the staggered ridges
We were in Cades Cove in 2009. Loved it so much that we cut out another part of our road trip to go back thru there on our way back home. Here is my take on it, I had my Nikon D5000 for about 4 months at this point.
WOW it may have been a new camera for you but you sure had it working great for you with these shots. That catch with the deer against that backdrop is fantastic
Thanks, I think Cades Cove inspired me !
