Don't know if you are in my area, but I think the Photo Center in Brick New Jersey has that lens to rent. I know they have at least one used (they wanted $750.

Be nice if your location was stated. Assuming since you mention Softball and Baseball it's US. Could be Cuba

Lensprotogo has it for $106 a week, a little more that the 50-500 above but it's the one you want since I assume that you want to try it before you buy it

Well it does help if one know what country you are in to be able to answer the post as I am in the UK and it is pointless giving you locations if you are in Australia for example.

I happen to agree with you about people being "in hiding", especially with the world-wide nature of this forum. But each to his own. Some people may have particular reasons for not even revealing their location. It may just be the case for this guy. I think I know roughly where he is located, in the USA, and what his reason might be, but I'm not going to reveal it out of respect for him.
