Great barn shot....Love the treatment
i love barns! i have quit a collection of old and new barn photos. I dont know what it is about them that we love.
your barn shot is great, very serene
Very nice old barn! We have a lot of these in Texas, but the difficult part is saying to your self "I'll get it the next time I am in this area." The next time you come back the barn is gone! Never miss a good shot while you have it! Waiting for the next time cries out "Disaster!" Now, back to your original photo. The only thing that I would criticize it the lack of contrast between the sky and the top of the barn. If you could tone down the sky a little this would help immensely in showing a difference between the sky and the barn top. This is a common problem and can by eliminated by replacing the ski as a new background or by replacing it with Photoshop or similar program. Personally, I have a series of backgrounds that have various skies in them that are made just for something like this.

Great shot. Love old barns. this one is on the way to town.
Winter barn
Love that snow covered barn.
Bob your comment about the sky is right on point, but the problem was there was no sky that day and I don't have photoshop, so I am at the mercy of what was there.
Thank you all for your comments.
Sookie I hope you have "jumped in" the water's fine and the folks here are great
Try this without Photoshop - it just might work. See if you can color in the sky area with a very light blue color using a medium to large sizes brush. This should not include the top of the metal barn roof. It just might do the trick in changing the color of the sky. I would choose a separate layer so that any corrections you make, if they are not liked, can easily be removed by simply discarding that layer. Be sure to go for smoothness as this will be very important. Let me know how this turns out.

This an excellent photo of an old barn with all the snow for effect. Good work.
