My name is Dayna. I live in the most wonderful little town, on the Central Coast of California. I have been married to my husband Mike for 18 years. I have four children two "borrowed" and two birthed, Jay Dee is 26, Lacey 24, Garrett 17 and Austin 11. I spent 20 years working in the grocery industry. I now work for a independently owned hardware store in my small hometown and I love it!!!
I love to scrapbook which has led me to want to be a better photographer.
I am really enjoying this group and all the information contained within.

Thank you! I loved seeing pics of you as well. You remind me alot of a great aunt that I have. She is just as full of life as you seem to be. It was nice thinking about her! Thanks!

Well went threw a ton of photos and can't find a single one of me besides this one. I am always the one behind the camera! Took this as a quick snap to show hubby what can be done with some post processing.
That being said I am 39 and married to the best man in the world! Been married almost eighteen years. Took one look at him and said "He's mine!!" No biological kids for us but do have a menagerie of feathered and furred kids running around. I worked in the micro electronics industry for a long while then a complete opposite and worked with animals for many years. At the moment I am a stay at home wife trying to get the new house we just bought set up and liveable.

Thank you! I tell him every-now-and-again that he's the best and his typical answer is, laughingly, "I know!" I still keep him around any way because he is the best for me.
I loved reading threw all the posts about everyone here. The stories are wonderful.

At the outset I was the apple of my mother's eye, but as time progressed, or so I've been told, my poor dear mother began having second thoughts... until now, many decades later, all the second thoughts in the world don't help. Which probably explains the occasional bouts of weeping that beset her.
Love the picture!! Good looks in the family I see!

Many are posting pictures of their families as well. That's awesome! I've shown most of my family in other threads but I'll bring them all to this thread as well. I hope you don't mind.
My daughter Kayla's wedding. July 2010. Flower girl is grand daughter Lydia, I am behind her, then Luke the groom and Kayla the bride. Beside Kayla front row is my husband, who suffered a stroke in February 2009, and then my grandson Damian. Back row is my son Tim, his wife Jenn, my son Ken, his wife Verity. Ken and Vee are parents to Damie and Lydia. The other two couples are expecting this summer!
Kayla and Luke's wedding, July 2010
This was an awesome experience. My oldest brother Rick is left, myself, my other brother Barry and my son Ken. We performed at my daughter Kayla's wedding. First time we'd ever all worked together. We're all very musical and had a great time! This was rehearsal the morning of the wedding.
Kayla created a CD of Country and Christian music. This is her album cover. Photo taken by Moonlight Studios, which I now work for. =)
myself, son Ken, son Tim and daughter Kayla at my ex-mother in laws funeral dinner.
and finally the last picture of my husband just a month or so prior to his stroke.

Good looking family. I can't get mine to dress up and stand still long enough for a good pic. We're a pretty informal bunch. Perhaps some day.

Pretty hard to get us all gussied up as well. We're most comfy looking like the practice with my brothers and son picture. Ya kinda gotta throw on some bling for a wedding, though. Especially when it's your only daughter.

I hear you. I guess we just got cheated outta that, not having any girls. Our 3 granddaughters have opened our eyes to the difference in raising girls and boys. It's not exactly the same thing as you no doubt learned on your journey thus far. There's a lot more older people on here than I would have guessed. It's quite a mixed bag. It's an interesting thread though and has brought out some interesting issues. Glad you started it. Hopefully more will eventually participate. I don't particularly like dealing with people's cats, dogs, and lizards in their avatar. Everyone needs to be rounded up and run through here. 'night Susie.
Just a few of the family
Laughing at my Granddaughter having to clean up after her dog
My oldest daughter , G'dau. and Holly. My Birthday and Holly gets a dress.
My youngest daughter.
Granddaughter Carli. Carli is into horses so I made this pillow for her.

I'm glad I started it, too. Loving all of the participation and seeing new faces. G'nite Gessman.

Noooo, you're fine. This thread is for sharing who we are and to tell of our families! Very nice!
