Greetings from south Louisiana. I am a beginner in photography and I have an E30 Olympus dslr. I am looking for suggestion for some different lenses. I have 12-60 and a 70-300 and some kit lenses. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks.
Depends on what type of photography you're looking to do and how much are you willing/able to spend. I have the same lenses 12-60 & 70-300, If I had the money, I'd upgrade to the 50-200mm f2.8-3.5 and add the EC-14 Teleconverter. The 70-300mm is a good lens for the money but focusing is slow and you need good light. But that's me, I like wildlife photography.
Thanks for the info, I will check it out
I enjoy listen to anyone who has more knowledge I
Welcome. Look forward to seeing some of your photos.
Welcome to UHH -- The 12-60 is certainly one of Oly's better lenses and I also use it on my E-30. However, I find that the 18-180 is a great walk-around lens. On my 3-week junket to inland Alaska & Yukon territory last summer, I'd estimate that close to 80% of my shooting was with the 18-180.
Welcome to the UHH forum and howdy from Houston!
