Good morning!I'm not much of a computer person, but after recently finding UH and enjoying it (I followed the posts on my Blackberry)decided to try to get get involved. I've had a Nikon FG since 1984 and always used it pretty much to document adventures and to take pictures for reference for artwork. Now I'm loving digital (D5000) and am hoping I can figure out how to post pictures so i can get some honest feedback on my photos themselves. I like the fact that there are some seasoned photographers here who take the time to give some real constructive guidance.

That's all right - everyone's allowed one double-post. But any more, and we send the Forum Police... :)
Thanks for the compliment. I actually thought he looked a little too "posed". Sorry I didn't figure out how to rotate the willow before I posted. I liked the colors, sort of unworldly with out any PP
I like your second shot best - interesting. There's a story in that worn out bicycle seat!!
I'd love to see some PP on the willow. That's one of my favorite trees - potential such a 'moody' one.
The deer is amazingly sharp and it's amazing you got the shot (are you sure he isn't stuffed?!!) but I would like to see his legs!
But I'm an amateur here so I have a very humble opinion!!
Thanks for the replies, even when just welcomed. There is a nice story with the bike but waaay to long. (And sorry I did it again, whenever I try to edit type it sends!)
real good pic on buck..never seen one like it.the others, to blue for me[but thats just personal]..
before I forget[again],,WELCOME...[durn always forget that part]..lol..---joe

Really like that shot of the beach deer. Was that taken at Robert Moses State Park? :-D
This shot was taken near Smith Point in the Fire Island National Sea Shore. There were three nice bucks hanging around and they gave me lots of opportunities. This guy, the nicest, was a ham-I think he was even posing for me.
