It is my daughter's neighbor's bird. We were at a birthday party there. It was outside on a limb.

It scares me to see people's pet birds outside. I have a friend who lost her African Grey parrot right off her shoulder, to a hawk when she had it out in the yard with her. I have known 2 other people who lost parrots the same way. One was sitting on her fence and the other on a perch they made especially so it could spend some time outside. Hawks will have one for lunch in a heartbeat. Sad but true.

Yes, I am very familiar all kinds of birds. I was born into a family that raised birds and have had them all my life.
Most of the 2 1/2 feet are tail feathers. Some of these will get 3 feet long and the Hyacinth Macaw is a good bit bigger.
