The first one is when it was a show car and the second is of when I owned it 25 years latter. I sold it in 2005 and miss it a lot. If you have any old show car photos , lets see them.

UN-frigging believable. What engine (Chevy?), if you don't mind my asking.

Old 289 Ford from a '64 Fairland. I love the old Fords the casting numbers tell you the whole story. It has a Jag rearend from a early XKE. The trans was a c4. The front spindles are Rambler that they fliped upside down.It had rack and pinion steering but we never figured out what it was from.. The outside rear hubs were from a corvette. It drove like a B I G go kart.

So frigging cool. Just beautiful, too. I actually owned a 64 Ford Fairlane as a kid. And it has been a long, long time since I heard the word "rambler" refer to anything other than Steve Martin.

I have to assume she did not hold up as well as the car.

Beautiful car. I love the old Corvettes.one of my uncles had a '62 and another worked for GM at the proving grounds and got a '63 split window 2 weeks before they came out to the public. He gave me a ride in it, and i was only 12 and in heaven. Hooked for life.
