Thank you. And thanks again for putting on the webinar. I've been working with PS for years, probably around 20, and there is ALWAYS something new to learn, whether it's some technique that greatly simplifies some task, or an alternate to a technique I already use. Sometimes Technique A works efficiently, sometimes an image presents problems where it's a struggle, and Technique B can come to the rescue. As I mentioned elsewhere, it's only within the past year or so that I learned some (emphasis on the SOME) ways to use LAB color to improve my results.

i use lab color (the lighness channel when i want that beautiful gray/bw tone). it's a great technique. now i have become lazy and use nik's silverfx plugin....gets the same results with one click.

Helpful. I'll have to practice a few things, particularly using the 50 percent gray overlay to lighten and darken areas selectively.

I applied a few of the techniques Jim discussed on the attached. If anyone thinks this is hijacking the thread, I'll be glad to remove it.

I love it!! Glad you shared it!

Thanks. There are so many things you can do. I love some of the work I've seen here. I'm happy with some of the things I've done, and the creativity that went into it, but I look at some of the other approaches and wish I had that vision. Everyone plays to his or her own strengths, and that's what opens up the full range from "Got it!" right out of the camera to dramatic and beautiful works of art. No limits. Well, okay, no motion and no music, just those incredible two dimensions.
