I'm very much "Yes"! on all three as well...you could set up to rotate as desktop backgrounds from time to time. When I saw number 1, I could literally hear the loud CLICK! of the balls hitting together at the break...very well done!!

Thanks, that's music to my ears:-)

I change desktops constantly, it's my main outlet for my photography work. My wife is not a fan of anything Photoshopped, anything digital for that matter. She prefers old Polaroid or Kodak prints that are buried, never to be seen again unless I find one, scan it, and make it into a digital DT:-)

I think I'll stick with simple stuff for now. Not sure I could pull off a landscape in the dark. Inside still's, like these are easy, turn on the light, set up what you want, turn off the lights, repeat until you get something that works. Tough turning lights on and off out side: 8-)

Very nice. I'll be trying some soon, I hope.

I bought a Stinger [Ultra Stinger] flashlight to use. I also have a cannon of a spotlight that I'll try.

This time I used a tripod and took a number of photos, trying for a couple good ones for my desktop. Used a couple of LED flashlights, setting the camera to 30 seconds and I think F5.6. Using a Panosonic Lumix FZ18

I like my desktop photo's black at the top if possible, so my row of Icons show up clean on the DT. The first one is my fav, looks good on my DT. I like the color intensity with the light painting. Tried to get the CB in motion on the first one and spent some time cleaning the grunge of the balls and cat hair off the table with my editor.

I have an idea for another painting in mind next time the mood strikes me:-)

Very very good, especially 1 & 2. Light painting is a lot of fun and you clearly had fun doing this. Well done. If I was forced to make a choice it would be number 1. If it were mine I would print it out and hang it in the same room as the pool table. Thanks for posting.

I used two lights that came with 2 different battery drill sets. One is a Craftsman 20 volt. It has high, medium and low settings and is rather broad, not focused. The other is a smaller 7 volt but it is far more focused, so much brighter in a narrow focus (spot). The one with 3 settings was a bit of a pain because you have to cycle through all 3 settings, not just on and off. Turned out that was OK, and the broad vs focused worked really well together. It's neat you can walk around in the dark w/o the camera knowing you are there. Gotta remember to turn off the lights though.

Here's one I forgot the camera was looking.

Forgot to turn out the flash light

The first one I like, and it would look good hanging in my poolroom. The second meets my criteria for a desktop, being black along the top where my icons would go, but it, and the third are not my cup of tea, too much PS'ing for my tastes.

Mine are a little too dark to print and hang in my pool room, unless I had one of those art lights to lighten up the pic. Hmmm.

Nice shots. Lighting is a tough skill to learn. I have a FZ18 as well and took it to the Galapagos Islands. Great bridge camera that takes excellent photos. Some of my crispest photos at Rock Concerts were taken in Auto (LOL) w/the Pany FZ18.

2 inch white mat with either chrome or black frame would do wonders for hanging them!

Here is full size if you are interested in using it!

And the same effect on your first one!
