It is difficult to appreciate your print from this image, I can only just make out the depth, and so I would prefer to see this in all its glory before I can make judgement.
However, from personal experience, I have found that a black reflective frame against a white surround can sometimes draw attention away from the image and convey a feeling of formality ,( like a certificate on a wall) you must have a point of interest to compensate for this.
The use of a 'formal' frame is great for a Technical image, but I think this deserves something different.
Some on here will probably disagree, but they are entitled to do so.
Mounting a print in a Gallery is not just slapping it on a wall, it is an art form in itself. I am by no means a master of this, but I have many gifted friends whose opinion I value highly.
On a completely different note, from the content of your bookshelf, can I suggest ' A 1000 days, JFK in the White house' unless, you have already got a copy.
this is a photo of a photo that is turned at an angle without the ability to see the texture. sorry, what more can be said?
This was more about showing an accomplishment. A lot of people today don't print, mount and frame their images. This is my first finished image done with fiber based paper. If I want it critique for the photograph in this photograph I will post it. However, I apparently have not scanned the negative yet.
