Hi everybody, I'm Gerald and I just joined the forum today. I'm looking for my first dslr camera and have a budget of $1000. I've considered the canon T2i. I'm gonna to do some traveling over the holidays and need a camera suitable for landscape/wildlife photography as well as portraits. I have little photography experience and am open to any suggestions.

Being a Nikon guy, i suggest this: the Nikon V1/J1 camera. AndreasE, a frequent contributer at the Fred Miranda forums reviewed this camera and took it to the Masai Mara. See all of his photos here.

A friend suggested The Fugi HS20 to me. Its lense is a 35 to 700mm lense on the camera for 500.00 dollars at my camera store.
