Pretty well sums up the sequester...

The president is already releasing criminals out of detention centers in his effort to scare the American people... Leadership that we can do without!

Whenever we ask politicians to make budget cuts, they never cut fat, just meat and veins. They still have their Govt assistants, assistants to the assistants etc.We are being held against our will by a bloated Government that believes they are in charge of the general population. And it's going to get worse.

Here are some outrageous examples of government waste ...

Example 25:
25. Congress recently gave Alaska Airlines $500,000 to paint a Chinook salmon on a Boeing 737.[25]

And here is the Boeing Salmon-Thirty-Salmon.The purpose of this paintjob is to promote Alaskan seafood. But it was not done recently, this plane has been around for a couple of years.

Pretty cool paint job.... Wondering why the federal government felt that it was a good idea to borrow money from China to have it done.... or why they decided that it was their responsibility to do so?

I have asked that same question about many things the government spends our money on. The most irritating being why is the government giving money to people who are to fricking lazy to get out and work. (and those people brag about it on Utube..)

At least they got a picture with the money that lasted for a while. When they borrowed the money from China, they gave China a $50 million tip out of the borrowed money, (that was a tip - not to be paid back)

Yes, actually it is, just try and move to another country and set up a new life without complying with their laws and see what happens... I don't understand why the left thinks that ours is the only country in the world who should have open borders, except other than the political power gained from such a position.

Beyond that ICE stopped detaining illegals with clean records sometime ago... these folks had deeper problems than just their presence here. If you guys don't like the immigration laws then see to it that they are fixed and changed to something that you can support, don't just nullify our laws, kinda turns us into a lawless society.

PS. Laughable how you excuse the administrations deplorable behavior, by trying to shift focus to the immigration debate... this is about the sequester and how our child king is behaving.

Maybe this page from October 03, 2005 with remarks by then Governor Frank H. Murkowski (R) from Alaska might be able to answer why Congress "recently" gave the money to paint that 737.

http://www.sitnews.us/1005news/100305/100305_alaska.html

October 2005, that's 7 1/2 recent years ago.
