Recently I did an open photo shoot and ended up running out of ideas for poses. I've checked the internet and haven't had much luck. Does anyone know of any websites or books on the topic of posing? Individual, groups, families all suggestions are appreciated.

Someone posted this earlier, sorry I can't find the original thread.

I'm not specifically a potrait photographer... a jack-of-all-trades, master of none, but it looked so useful to me, I bookmarked it.

Here is the rest of the site:

1,000+ Fashion Poses for Photographers by Walden Simon.
I have the Kindle version. I use it periodically for ideas and reference.

Here is what I suggest.

Forget learning poses....after you've done your 6 that you know today...then what?

Instead...learn HOW to pose anyone in any situation and make them look good.

Trust me on this...your world will be changed.

This has to be the best thing I've ever seen on shooting, lighting and posing portraits.

If you have an iPad check iTunes for an app called Posin App. has lots of ideas broken up into various types of groups.

Pleased you found it of interest...I printed them all out and my son used many of them for his first Portrait shoot, now all he has to remember is to turn his VR off when using a tripod lol
