You can do it either way. There is a thread for getting your pictures looked at for help, it is the Photo Analysis thread. And if you just want to show your work you can put them in the Photo Gallery. Both will work if you ask for help.:)
The only important thing is you have fun and make a lot of friends.:)

Welcome and I have to say you are real close to the Fort Bragg area which that part of the coast is just plain beautiful. Also check out Point Arena as well.
