Hi, i have been trying to put an avatar into my profile
Nikonian72 has kindly been offering help, but we are both stumped!
I have used the Browse button in"My Profile" to select the original size JPG then update avatar button, no luck, then reduced size to 100*100 and then 75*75 to see if this might be the problem, still to no avail
I have used the search function to find similar threads, but cannot see what I am doing wrong
Any ideas would be appreciated

Hmm, if you've followed everything Nikonian has given you and even resized it so that it doesn't have to do it then I am stumped as well. Maybe shoot a PM to Admin to see if they have any ideas.

I have the same problem. The site would not accept my photo for the avatar either.

Are you using IE 8? There are compatibility issues. Try doing the same through Firefox or Google Chrome browsers and see if that solves the problem.
