Beautiful!! I noticed you have a "dead pixel" in several of the photos (red spot in the lower half of some pics). If you decide to print any of these you may want to retouch that spot in Photoshop.

so after perusing this whole thread, which was very informative on Macro vs Close up...i'm just not all that knowlegeable about all that but i love taking close ups..maybe i will get feedback on some of these...this is what i absolutely love about being part of the UHH...welcome to all the newbies, you will learn and probably teach us also...so hopefully i won't inundate with close ups..i'll save some for when the 'close up section' is created...anna

More good closeups. Like the first and last the most. I have a few myself that I really like and will post soon. You are right a closeup section would be of interest.

For all of you on this thread that would like a 'close-ups' section have already have a solution. 1 - select create new topic, 2 - select photo gallery - 3 title start with "close-up's" then your subject and post. We can then search for "close-up's" to find all of those posts. Here are a few orchids I took, one full flower, which I like to see. One 1/1 for the hummingbirds.

full flower

I followed your suggestion, and came straight back to this artical.
It would be nice to have a group then we wouldn't be high jacking Steve1oshea personal stream.

Hello Orcasun :-) Your comment although well meant is not accurate..sorry. We are not talkning Macro here we are talking close up. Macro is 1:1 if you dont understand the difference I am sure many will help you out on this..kind regards
