you lighten it to much it look fake .

I agree that is a great shot but if you could use natural light instead of a strobe you would not get that shadow.
If you crop just above that base board you can still get that beautiful white fur on its chest and with natural light you would not get that reflection in it's eyes.
Maybe backlit with a reflector in front of the dog.
It has worked for me.

I have to agree the original is a better photo more natural and real, i think i have a tendancy to go bolder than needed and sometimes it bites me lol
I like the photo-but a little fill flash or some kind of directional lighting would improve the image--get rid of the shadow behind the dog
