Hi Everyone,
For a while now I've been looking at all your photos and loving them so much. Thank you.
I was wondering if I can ask advice. I have the first Canon Rebel 6.3 Mp, Now I'm thinking of upgrading to the canon T3i or T4i.
If anyone one has anything to say I would love to hear it.
Thanks
Kaz
Welcome to UHH!
What do you like to shoot, and
what would a new camera give you that yours does not?

hi St3v3M, Good questions. Well I also have the Canon power shot SD1400IS ant that takes great shots, clear and rich color.
The thing with the power shot the shutter is like so slow I can cook popcorn by the time the shutter hits. That is what I like about DSLR cameras they have a fast shutter. The power shot has many features the 6.3 doesn't have. I was looking at the T3i and T4i and they have a lot of features I would like to play with. I like fine art photography as well at landscape to pet photography. plus the Mp is 18.O on the T3i & T4i. I'm thinking the T4i has touch screen which don't fascinate me but if I want to up grade in a few more years, I may as well get use to it. I just hope they don't touch screen the shutter in future cameras. So, I'm teetering on them both. Thanks for your help

Hi Kaz, welcome to the hog. Your question is excellent. i couldnt afford a Canon 5D mkII or mkIII or a 7D so i opted for a Canon 60D which fulfills most all my requirements, and is 18mp. The 60D is a very versatile camera. And for the price i think it is exceptional. I would ask you to check it out. It might just be the way for you to go.

No kaz, the Canon 60D is a dslr. I would check it out and then explore where to buy it or any camera you decide on. Not wanting to step on anyones toes, i do recommend either Canon or Nikon. But go to your local camera store and check out alllllll the dslr's and then decide which one feels right for you.

Far too often we see people on this site who say I Want A New Camera So I Can Take Better Pictures. For me then, I need to know that I can outshoot the camera with its current limitations otherwise I would invest time to gain experience, take a class or buy better glass for the work I am after. I hope this helps.

Hi, I have the Canon 550D, Rebel T2i, and although I had researched such a lot, the choice was, which one fitted in my small sized hand the best.It was not the most expensive, came with 2 lenses,18-55, and 55-250, and a macro 50mm by redemption. I am very happy with it, but realise further up the money ladder, other models will be better.I would go and look, try, hold, many models and brands, see if it fits your hand and budget, and take on board all the wonderful help from others here. Cheers from Jean in NZ
