Hey, I'm new here...
Recently bought my first "real" camera, Canon 7D, and found this site to be helpful so I'm joining. Always loved composing shots w/iPhone & point'n-shoots, know very little technically but eager to learn & explore. Will try to post samples below taken w/ 7D & 28-135mm Kit lens. Recently moved to NYC from LA, for the weather of course, and loving it! Looking to start taking Head Shots & possible commercial endeavors in future. But for now, just havin' fun...

Hello damvit and welcome to the UHH. Thanks for posting some shots....and have fun.
Welcome to UHH. have fun, thanks for sharing.
Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your first real camera. You didn't spare the megapixels. You got a really good one. I the the composition in all your photos. They each are unique in their on way.
A couple of books you might enjoy are Bryan Peterson's Understanding Exposure and another of his books A Field Quide to Composition, both can be found on Amazon and at your library.
So you are among friends, just put your feet up and enjoy yourself.
Appreciate the recommendations, will definitely look 'em up!
Love to 7D! Welcome to UHH.
