Hey there, i'm back again. I'm still learning and have been playing around with my camera, canon T2i, with some different settings? I would love to get some feedback on what i should or shouldn't do. I was trying to do something different. Please help!

I'd like to see the watch on something reflective. Prop it up so that you get a perspective shadow, rather than the shadows underneath.

Just my opinion.

I think I would take the red background all the way down to the fabric or rug the watch is on. And the lights shining on the whatever it is? are a bit distracting. BUT,having said that, I am still a very amature photographer myself, so take my critique as from one learning to someone else learning. And good luck to both of us!! lol

thanks so much for your input hlmichael. I tried it again on glass,
it this kinda what you were thinking. I like it! I would have liked the clock behind a little blurrier. have to keep working on that.

I love the composition....and if this is what you are happy with then keep it. As you do more and more of this you will realize what is more pleasing to the eye. If your lens is too slow the back ground will not blur enough to create a more natural image. Just pull the pocket watch away from the clock some until the clock blurs.

What a difference using hlmichel's idea. Turned it into an excellent photo . I'll have to remember that .

Thanks hlm..... !!!

Oh , if you put the hands on 1:50 would it make a difference . Most adverts for clock / watches have that time for some reason . Maybe you can sell the picture to a clock / watch dealer .

#2 is great. Good idea and subject. I especially like the Daliesque quality of the numbers reflected in the watch cover. Very nice.

The third was the charm. I like it the best. I like that you cropped out more of the clock behind and for what ever reason the time at 1:50 is more appealing.
Nice job.
