Good Morning All:
I am not brand new to UHH as I have been following the site for more than a year, always just "looking" at the suggestions, comments, and recommendations that I found appropriate for my questions or interests. I then realized there is much more that a can gain and hopefully contribute by becoming a registered member. So I registered, and now I guess I am a "newbie".
I shoot a Canon 5D Mark ll with various lenses and seem to lean towards shooting wildlife and landscape as a subject. For me shooting wildlife is very challenging as your subject often does not give you their best side or pose, and then add some "lighting issues" and you find yourself rapidly digging into your photography skills bag. And it all has to happen in a "fifth of a second" or the opportunity may be lost.
I am looking forward to learning from other members and hopefully I can provides some learning information as well. If anyone has knowledge on starting and managing a Photography Group (an organization or "club" of inteterested photographers) I will take all the information you can give. We have just started our group and any insight will be appreciated.

Welcome TomF,
As you shoot with Canon and are interested in Wildlife, I think you will really enjoy an educational video presentation we recently uploaded to YouTube entitled "Lenses for Bird and Nature Photography: Birds As Art Style" given by Arthur Morris and sponsored by Canon.

Am thrilled that you enjoyed it. At this time we have over 600 self produced B&H Photo educational and product related videos for photo, video and audio enthusiasts to enjoy on our YouTube Channel and we add several new ones each week. Look around as there are several excellent videos related to wildlife photography offered by masters in the field. Let me me know if you find the site useful as we are always looking to improve our offerings.
All the best.

Welcome Tom! We just started our group here too, letting things evolve slowly, and just starting to get some structure. We needed to find out what everyone expected other than just social hour. Members are going to take turns presenting different aspects of photography by doing some research. Also had our first outing. It is a fun group!!
