I got a 28-135 with my 50D a few years back, was very quickly my favorite lens ... but it too has issues. If you're in a dusty environment the 28-135 sucks dirt inside itself and as it builds up over the years you either have to get it professionally cleaned or plant a garden in it. Weird how my two favorite lens suck dirt, have to wonder if it isnt an omen.

I bought the laminated cheat sheet for the 60d. Hopefully that will help. Also reading the manual with a lot of hands on time. It came today and it's raining expected to continue all day tomorrow. Around the house objects it is

Never have had a problem with my 28-135 IS lens with dust or anything else. A great lens !

To get the true (35mm equivelet) of Canon lens multiply the focal legenth by 1.6
Example:Your 28mm lens would acutally be 44.8MM
Your 135mm lens will be 216mm

I got the 18-135 with the new camera. I have a 28- 105 ef already. I have to learn the camera at this point. I have the T1i now the 60d. I want the 60d to become the primary so practice it is.

The 18-200 is not a bad lens, but Canon can definitely do better, and I hope they do soon. I ended up buying a 18-250 mm Sigma for about the same price (based on test results) and am very happy with it. I have a 50D and a 7D. I'm sure you will like the 60D.
