Lying on the basement floor....
Cellar spider.... I was supposed to be watching the eggs boil...but since a watched pot never boils ;-)... I proceeded to the basement with the expressed intent of grabbing a beer.
Saw this "cellar spider" between the waterheater so difficult to get the best angle.
ISO 320, f/22 & 1/200 shutter duration with softbox on the Lepp bracket. Flash at M-1/16 power.
The man has good plan, forget about the eggs drink beer shoot spiders laying on floor after drinking to many beers, great plan and great shots.Bill
Well, they are definitely HARD boiled.
;-)
An un-watched pot DOES boil.

NIce shots. This is an interesting spider. I've found them several times in their usual habitat - inside, in basements, caves, etc. with webs in the ceiling.
I've only found them once outside. They were beneath an air conditioner, in heavy shade and high humidity, behind a mobile home.
Again, nice shots.
What set-up for your extreme macro? Excellent detail capture.
As long as you didn't burn the eggs, you are in the clear. See you got plenty close on this fellow. Using some tubes??

The full spider shot is 1:1; the close-up was cropped in iPhoto. I figure it comprises roughly 1/12 of the original frame. I was using my SB-400 set at 1/16th power. He was on some white office furniture-- that Danish stuff you assemble. That necessitated cutting the flash a little more.
nice shots, hope the eggs and beer were as good.
Did you give the spider some of that beer for the modeling job. Nice macro.
  How were the eggs??
