I had this eerie feeling in my home, I felt I was being watched and my home was bugged!

I was right, I found these two guys lurking about!!!

Don't know, I am sure someone out there does. Don't they resemble human faces??

I know that it's a Shield bug but the actual name is eluding me at the moment..

There you go, I reckon this is it. A Samurai or Man Faced Shield bug.. Others call it the Red Stink Bug.

Interesting that one of yours has blue markings, must be the lighting or perhaps it's a M/F thing.
Nice images again Indrajeet. Are these with the D600 or D7000 ?

Hi Kinopless, the first one is taken using the D7000 and 70~300 and for the second I used the D600 which had the 300 f4 and TC 1.4 already fitted . The first one was in a tree about 10 feet away from me. I had to step back to get the second one, he was very close. Both shot hand held, the first one was easier to shoot.

#1 is fantastic Indrajeet, wonderful color. Usually colorful insects/critters in the tropics represent a warning that something is either distasteful or poisonous. It will be interesting to find out who and what this guy is about.
