After two days of much needed rain, it looked like there was going to be a brake in the clouds for a nice sunset. I headed up to the top of Talimena Scenic Drive to take some sunset pictures. The clouds were not cooperative and the sunset was a kind of a bust. I guess I'll just have to be satisfied with these.

You were greatly rewarded, I'd say. ;)

Leroy those shots are beautiful. I think better than the sunset you were hoping for, another time.

Not bad. I took this drive on the Arkansas side but didn't go into Oklahoma. I'll make it there one day though.

She had two blue eyes and I am sure she could smile, and quess what her name was, my sons idea (merle) I sit up all night with her, laying on the floor with head in my lap, waiting for the vet to open, but she was old and didn't make it, nothing else be said else I will not make it,, we are going to look at some aussie pups,,

I am so sorry that you lost your friend. It's very hard to deal with.
I have 4 dogs,3 rescued from breed specific rescues and one from a shelter.I 'll bet there are Aussie rescue groups down your way.Rescuing a dog whose life has been not so good gives you a great feeling.
Again....I offer my sincere sympathy.

Nice pictures, I live in a little valley so I don't get to see to many sunrises or sunsets.
I really like how the sun is beaming thou the clouds.

Seriously, the b&w's could have been from King of Kings or another of DeMille's epics. GREAT grab
