After two days of much needed rain, it looked like there was going to be a brake in the clouds for a nice sunset. I headed up to the top of Talimena Scenic Drive to take some sunset pictures. The clouds were not cooperative and the sunset was a kind of a bust. I guess I'll just have to be satisfied with these.

They were not what I was looking for and the wind was blowing about 30 mph. Just about had to hang from the tripod to keep it from blowing over. Thanks for looking

Oh, I'm so sorry Ezirider. I know how hard it is. We just lost our mini aussie the beginning of Dec. She would have been 9. They are wonderful dogs. This is my first time with this breed, but I love them. We have always had small dogs, Caiden is my first "big" dog, but he's great and my little blue merle (who has one blue eye and one blue with brown marbling) is a ray of sunshine. Plese accept my sympathies.

She had two blue eyes and I am sure she could smile, and quess what her name was, my sons idea (merle) I sit up all night with her, laying on the floor with head in my lap, waiting for the vet to open, but she was old and didn't make it, nothing else be said else I will not make it,, we are going to look at some aussie pups,,

Never one to leave well enough alone and because you made the effort and got out there and created these nice images... I jazzed up the one with the most zap (Irfanview).

These pictures were taken near the west end of the drive at Panorama Vista. The highest point on the west end on Winding Stair Mountain. I was overlooking Talihena, OK.

Tirehouse, you were expecting Angels and Cherubs with trumpets to accompany the setting sun? You have some awesome shots here, I would love to see ! & 2 converted to B&W. I think it would really pull the sun's rays right off the screen.

I did some work on these in b/w. I couldn't get the contrast right it seems. I did do a selective b/w that I think was nice though.
