Please don't foget the articulating viewing screen of the 60D - good for stills and video !
Both the 60D and the T3i have that feature.
My 60D arrived a few days ago.. i went to BestBuy and looked- compared-- (our BB has no sales people around so I got to look in peace) came home pondered. Read a zillion reviews. Pondered some more. Went back to BB and looked- held again.. came home spent forever on the internet..it took me about 6 weeks to make that final decision and click "submit order". We don't have a Local camera store.
I only bought the body. I have lenses..but now I have lens lust for an "l" lens.
The faster frame shooting is what r=tipped the scale for me. My son plays baseball -- sure that is only a small part of camera usage- but still :) When that kid hots the ball- it's "OUTTA HERE" I need the speed.
I'm thinking you mean L lens ? I have a 60D and you will see flaws in your lenses that you never saw before because of the higher resolution. You really do need L lenses to compliment and extract the potential resolution of the 60D. The cheapest L lens - the 70-200 F4 non IS that I have totally blows away ANYTHING I have EVER used --- and the new 70-200 F2.8 II is said to be even better ! ( at 3-4X the cost ).

Yes.. I want an "L" lens for my 60D. I am "going through" testing my current lenses at various setting to see "how they do".. so far pretty good -- I just got (Sept) Tamron 28-300 and it is my walk around lens and my 50mm-- they bother seem to be fine. I would love to see the difference with an "L" lens.

Congrats! Have a blast with it! There is a ton of things you can do with that camera.
The 50mm that you have is a great lens! I use the 50 f1.2L which is great on my 5D. For the 60D I used the Canon 28 f1.8 (which is awesome), until I bought the 35 f1.4L. I also use the 70-200 f2.8 IS on my 5D, and for my 60D I pair up the Canon 135 f2L. Another winner is the 85 f1.8. At over $1500.00 cheaper than it's counter part, I use that unless I really need to go down to the "L"
Sorry, I get trigger happy with glass! My whole point was to say Welcome to the 60D family! I wish the two of you as much happiness as we have had together!
I had a Ti and now own a 60D. The 60D is easier to use because of the quick access for changes. A disadvantage to the D60 is that it is a bit heavier & a little larger. But, I love it.

Just checked Amazon and B&H and price of D60 body only is 1K. It was $870 earlier this month. What's up with that?! There's only one model of Canon D60 body, right? I didn't think I had lost this many marbles yet! If I'm not nuts, then does anyone know what's going on here? Why such a big, sudden price increase? :D
Canon price for the 60D is $999. I have seen 'gray market' camera cheaper (no canon warrantee) and I have seen body only cheaper (no battery or charger).
REMEMBER: cheap is cheap

Canon had a $100 instant rebate through Thanksgiving. I got a body only at the local Ritz store for the rebate price on black Friday
