That's a 6oomm with a 2X converter, I'll do my best to show you the area. My favorite lens for landscapes is 9~18 and use the big stuff when I need to bring it close.

Hi denebuff, welcome to the hog. I have found that if my sensor needs cleaning, i let the experts do it for me. That way its guaranteed. When i saw your picture, for a moment i thought is was me. LOL. Take a look at my avatar....I would say you do have equipment. Looking forward to seeing more of your work.

Hi Denny and welcome!! Nice first post. I think you are going to fit just right. We have some awesome folks here. I have made some great friends in the small time I have been here. One thing to do tho..... get a comfortable chair for your computer desk. You are going to need it.:) This site is addictive big time.
