I'm looking for a program I can download to help remove noise. I have PS 7 and although it has that feature it's an old version and I can't afford to buy anything new. But all it seems to do is blur the image a little to remove the speckling or noise. Thanks

Topaz DeNoise.....down load free trial....watch the how to video:

If you set your ISO and don't use auto-ISO you can batch process.

I use paint.net - tis a basic program but does things like noise reduction fairly easily.

I use Neatimage free trial. I will however experiment with others mentioned in this thread.

That's actually how denoise programs work. There is a tradeoff between noise and sharpness. "There ain't no free lunch".

Gimp has a plugin for noise reduction, and it's free. Wavelet Denoise

Topaz DeNoise, works great, with little or no loss in detail.

LR 4 has a noise reduction slider. How does it compare to the plug ins?
