That my friend is just why we had to come and bail you out when Hitler was trying to take you over. You couldnt defend your selves. That wouldn't happen in america. To us gun control is being able to hit what your aiming at. Cheers.

If you really think we won the war by bailing "them" out .... you should read Inferno: The World War 1939-1945 by Max Hasting .... the British soldier fought a good fight and without them and the Russian soldier .... we would be speaking German .... yes we supplied the material ... but they were damn good soldiers....

Hay! where did you get the idea I said they werent good sholdiers.I only implied that if they were all armed like the US it would have been a much more even fight. They would have been able to fight back. Their sholdiers were as good as ours. But their people were not armed. That wouldn't happen in the US. We would not have to wait for the sholdiers to come to defend us we could shoot back. Now what was so hard for you understand? We will never give up the right to defend ourselves. If you know a way to remove the guns from the bad guys in this or any other country let us know. It will never happen. that ship has sailed. There are over 300 million guns in this country. Much too late to talk about taken them away from the law abiding people. So just cool your jets. The family on my mothers side all spoke german. We werent fighting the german people we were fighting the nazis. Most germans were glad to see hitler gone.

Most Germans were glad to see Hitler gone in 1945 ..... not 1939 through 1944 ..... the anti Hitler sentiment began as the Russian advance moved closer to Germany .... German sentiment can be gauged by the proximity of the Russian battle line ..... please ... we should stick to gun control ....

This is one reason why we love our guns and why we even train our kids to be responsible gun handlers.

A 14-year-old boy who was babysitting his younger siblings shot an armed intruder at their home in Phoenix and nearly killed the man. The teen said a woman rang the doorbell, but he refused to answer because he didn't recognize her. Not long after, he heard banging on the door and raced his siblings upstairs, grabbing his dad's gun. When he returned to the top of the stairs he saw a man with a gun breaking in. When the intruder pointed his firearm at the boy, the teen fired before the 37-year-old could get a shot off. The intruder is in critical condition, and police have hailed the boy for doing "exactly what he should have done," calling the family lucky.

I would say they were not as lucky as much as they were
prepared

US criminals carry guns because the police are armed? Tell me you're not serious. 8-)

You are mis-interpreting what I wrote. To put it in a way you may understand; If a criminal in the UK expected to come up against an armed policeman then he is more likely to carry a gun to even the match and escape. Most of out police do not carry guns so the majority of criminals do not see the necessity of carrying guns themselves as - if caught - the penalty is higher if carrying.
You would no doubt see it as the UK not achieving your level of 'civilization' yet.

I think you missed the story about the youg boy who took his fathers gun and accidently shot his brother in the face or the one about the father who took his son to the gun store to buy a gun .... as they were getting in the car the gun discharged and the son died .... or the one about the father who thought someone was breaking into his house late at night .... he shot and killed the intruder ... it was his daughter comming home from a date ... or the one about etc. etc. ....

This is the stuff our wonderful media just happens to overlook. How many of you remember reading or hearing about this??
Media Quiet About San Antonio Theater Shooting

On Sunday December 17, 2012, 2 days after the CT shooting, a man went to a restaurant in San Antonio to kill his X-girlfriend. After he shot her, most of the people in the restaurant fled next door to a theater. The gunman followed them and entered the theater so he could shoot more people. He started shooting and people in the theater started running and screaming. It’s like the Aurora, CO theater story plus a restaurant!

Now aren’t you wondering why this isn’t a lead story in the national media along with the school shooting?

There was an off duty county deputy at the theater. SHE pulled out her gun and shot the man 4 times before he had a chance to kill anyone. So since this story makes the point that the best thing to stop a bad person with a gun is a good person with a gun, the media is treating it like it never happened.

Only the local media covered it. The city is giving her a medal next week. Just thought you’d like to know.

"Agenda revealed! If you had any doubts that the media was pushing for this and who their masters were, doubt no longer. This is spooky. Alot of what you read in the ‘conspiracy world’ is bull but there IS alot of truth too.. You just have to sort out the facts yourself. -Mort"

What about the story in New York .... neighbor bought a Bushmaster for her neighbor ... convicted felon .... he then set fire to his house ... then killed 2 firemen when they responded to the fire .... so much for background checks .... tell the firemens family about the NRA method of insuring that guns do not fall into the hands of dangerous people .... you would argue then that background checks don't work ..... so .... why don't we all carry guns .... lets return to the 19th century ....

There is a lot of news that doesn't make the news because it doesn't fit with their agenda.
